Possum Row is a small Texas town unlike any other, where the lowly possum is king, cows are widely ignored, farmers have their own religion, and lawyers are afraid to set foot inside the city limits. But everyone in town loves a party, and everyone loves Doc Seymore, so Taco Bob and his possum ranchers set out to throw Doc the biggest party the area has ever seen. I like these light adventures - no message, no gore. Robert Tacoma knows his South Florida fiction, so you will find references to Hiassen's ex Gov. Skink or maybe a description of Doc Ford's hangout. These novels are not as dark as Randy Wayne White's work, nor as wild and crazy as that of Tim Dorsey, but they are in that league. Personally, I prefer the Key ones to those set in South Texas. This book, along with Sheriff Skunk, talk about Taco Bob, before the move to Key West. They are both good light reads.
If you liked his early books you will love this new spin off adventure featuring one of Robert Tacoma's most nefarious characters, Skunk Johnson. All of Robert's books are easy and fun reads. A good day is a new Robert Tacoma book, sunshine and a couple of brews. Maybe even some Possum Surprise for dinner. For more great reads check out where it all began.Key Weird Do yourself a favor, get em all!
This should of been the first book. Because it was Taco Bobs life before he came to Florida. It sort of looks back to the beginning of Taco Bob before he moved to Florida.

When you read the title you know you won't be reading a Dexter Collins or Reginald Hill. By the time you read the sample you know what your going to get. I enjoyed the story, I like his other books and at $4, what do you expect?
Really enjoyed this book and all the other books relating to this series. Very amusing and the caricatures are outright fun. I found it was really nice to read and just got so many laughs.
Possum Surprise I love Tacoma's books, the characters are weird, funny, the places are weird and funny, its good reading w/some humor, I tell my son the stories as bed time story and he loves it, he wants me to read so I can tell him about it, of course I have to be careful on what I have to say, I didn't have to delete or bleep much in this one )
